Studio Illume is a natural light studio, which means your maternity, newborn, or family photographs are created in a space with a lot of natural light and typically no use of flash. When you first walk in, you will notice a large frosted window (for your privacy during the session) and a white blank slate area where we can create beautiful art for your home. Clients can opt to keep the very minimalist look with just the white space or add a hand-painted backdrop. You will also notice our client closet, which includes dresses for moms XS-XXL and two racks of clothing for children up to 2T sizing. Scroll down to see a quick video tour of the studio!

For Kristin’s maternity session, we knew they were expecting a sweet baby girl so we went with a pink color palette. We used a blush pink hand painted backdrop. When everything came together, it created a very feminine and soft look. It became a perfect prelude to how their newborn session would feel. It adds a special touch, and then you can bring them home to press or preserve how you choose. Alongside your album or prints, it is an additional tangible connection to this phase of your lives.
