Alexa booked Historic Shady Lane for their wedding and described the vibe she was going for as ‘southern garden party’ and I couldn’t have LOVED the idea any more (as well as the end result, as you will soon see)! The plan was to have their wedding next to a gorgeous house on Historic Shady Lane’s property, but the weather had different plans. Right as we were taking photographs of their bridal party, we heard thunder. This was quite a shock because there was no rain or storm in the forecast. Their ceremony was moved under the tent and that ended up being a very good thing. It down-poured (though only briefly). That did not stop this couple’s joy, though! It was a gorgeous ceremony between two amazing people. It’s supposed to be good luck to rain on your wedding day anyways, right? We spent the rest of the day celebrating these two and loving every minute!
